Letting go of things can be so hard!
No. I’m not talking about decluttering - although I do desperately need to do that too LOL-
Letting go of your own wishes and desires. Letting go of what you wish for someone else.
Why do we do that? Even as I write I can feel physical pain in my heart as I am still learning this process of letting go.
I see potential in people and have such big hopes, dreams and wishes for them that it hurts when they don’t act in the way I seem to want them to.
I think she should be at family gatherings, birthdays, dances, go camping, ride a horse, learn to swim.....
But does SHE? Do these things bring her joy?
Maybe what brings her joy is just quietly watching from the sidelines or being with her circle of friends...
Even though it breaks my heart to think that she is "missing out", I am slowly learning that I cannot force her to enjoy the things I think she should enjoy. The picture of her here is at a parade. She wants to be at parades, but the noise really bothers her to the point where she may throw objects or hit those standing too close. So I've learned that if she wants to stand way off by herslef and wear headphones, that's ok!
Letting go is hard
Lord teach me to let go and show me when to BACK OFF!
